Griphos
I've waxed poetic in the past about how these guys get all the little details right. I was flying out of Chelan to Concrete with Charlie P. today and he was commenting on how nice it is that the trees change color gradually as the season progresses. I was commenting on how nice it is that the north facing slopes have more vegetation than the hotter, drier south facing slopes. Then, as I was flying over some pass in the Wenatchee Valley, I saw the snow on the mountains and had to take this shot. It's late summer, and a lot of rock is showing through here, and what snow remains is muddy and gray. No bright white, but dirty gray. Now that's the kind of attention to detail that just convinces me I'm flying over real country! I'm totally and completely ruined for non-FTX scenery, though!
