Longers
Hi all, I noticed a backup of thermaldescriptions.xml was made after the installation of Diamond Point, are there enhancements for the local thermals here ? cheers ! Greg
Tim Harris
Hi Greg, Yes the boys did make some alterations to the thermals around Diamond point, I forget the exact changes, but from what I remember it was for locational reasons Cheers Tim
Heiko Glatthorn
Yes, Tim is right - there was a default thermal right above the 2WA1 runway which made landing almost impossible (with lighter aircraft). A small change in the thermaldescriptions.xml was necessary to relocate the thermals. You find now one above Protection Island and another one further North above the Dungeness Spit (makes for a nice gliding trip).

Dean B
Good news yes, for those that are still using the default thermaldescriptions, but not for those that have a custom one made by other gliding software. Did the update make a backup?
Tim Harris
Good news yes, for those that are still using the default thermaldescriptions, but not for those that have a custom one made by other gliding software. Did the update make a backup? Yes of course, you will find a backed up version in the same folder as the new one
