alex330
Hello everyone, haven't been flying in a while due to private matters, now I'm glad to have time again for simming. Here are some shots of an epic sightseeing tour, the first flight I did in my newly acquired Lancair. I took off at CYRM Rocky Mountain House and finished the tour at CYCP Blue River with a short stop at CAH4 Valemount. The ORBX NRM scenery is so stunning, I could not stop hitting the V key. Anyway, here are the shots. After takeoff from CYRM, the world still is mostly flat. Following the North Saskatchewan River. A friend of mine took that shot from the road. That should be gorgeous Abraham Lake. Beautiful Glacier Lake ahead. After Glacier Lake, I had to do a seep climb to get over those fantastic looking snow capped mountains. Changed the sky and water settings after having to restart FSX. The water is much darker now. I'm not sure which one looks better. The Lancair looks so small over those massive rocks. Over Kinbasket Lake, heading towards Valemount. What a great canyon here at Kinbasket Lake. Hope you enjoyed the shots Cheers, Alex A few follow-ups, as well as the flight map. On finals to Valemount. The first village I saw sind I crossed the first mountains. Full Flaps on finals to Blue River. What a beautiful place! Seems very quiet, though. This is the route I took:

turnandbank
Great set of shots over some stunning scenery. I think the darker water setting looks a tad more realistic overall IMO.
alex330
Thank you everybody for your kind replies! Yes, I enjoyed this flight tremendously. It is also worthwhile to stray a bit from the flightplan to the left and right. Donay, hope to see your shots from the flight
