Woutertje Posted July 12, 2011 Share Posted July 12, 2011 A very nice flight but also a very long one. Had all kind of weather in this one. Started out with the clouds hanging low, then rapidly evolved in almost no visibility. Had to go down till my tires almost hit the trees to be able to see the river. When i finally pushed through it everything cleared up a lot, luckily for me, otherwise i wouldn't have been able to find the runway. McBride is a real nice airport, it's beautifully located next to the river. I'm pretty sure that in nice clear weather this is a beautifull flight to do, even in a faster plane as it takes over 2 hours in the cub. Anyway, on to the shots, hope you like them. Don't look to good at the landing shot, i floated for 3/4 of the runway and put her down on the last quarter, still had plenty of room left though.
