moonman
Hello Everyone! Just wanted to visit Bundaberg for a small flight recently. There was some very humid and warm air around - but no rain or thunderstorms ... So i was able to really enjoy some – as i think – great atmosphere and look-outs at the scenery! I was also really impressed about what great shimmering and glimmering effects MangoTango´s Lancair-repaint generated here in this intensive eveninglights - some sort of Discofever even ! Wanted to share that with You! As always: Straight from the v-key thanks to ORBX, REX and some very great repainter´s work ! Please enjoy! Christoph Here we are ... moonman
Thank You all very very much for Your kind comments here!! Great that You enjoyed the show !! Cheers, Christoph Christoph!... these are absolutly stunners my friend!! :o You sky theme is spot on breath taking and then, if Im right, you're using Open Clouds to great effect and all working well together.. The put in some great aircraft, the best scenery and let Christoph take charge of flying and V key duties!... Your got a winning combination! Hey John! Thank You for the winning combination - And indeed: OpenClouds turned my FSX skies into heaven - i used the REX sunset-theme Outback (HD or is it OD?-anyways) here - allthough i am aware of the fact, that the colours might be a little to dramatic maybe, i also have to admit, that i really enjoyed the atmosphere back then when i was flying around Bundy here... just as mentioned above: a great light for some humid and rather tropical environments i think ... and: Besides the real negative aspect of it´s huge amount of energyconsumption i also have to admit though, that the 580 is an amazing GPU - i am always surprised about how great it is shaping my flightsimmer´s world! Gonna write the OpenCloud-tool into the "weathersection" at my signature now

Rick@YMEN
Great set of screenshots you have there. Im taken back by the high level of clarity displayed in these shots. May i ask what is your native screen resolution and how you get these to be so crisp??? Best Regards Rick

May i ask what is your native screen resolution and how you get these to be so crisp??? Best Regards Rick Hello Rick!I am using a 24" monitor with a 1920x1200 resolution! And imo. the 580 graphixcard also really, really does an amazing job when it comes down to generating some immense crispness and great appearance of the FSX-world! I also use various enb.settings - the one i used in the images above here are JV´s enb.settings which work real great especially when flying into some morning and eveninghours! You can download them here: http://orbxsystems.com/forums/index.php?topic=22204.0 I hope that helps! If You have any further questions feel free to PM me and i will try to answer as soon as possible then! Cheers, Christoph
Rick@YMEN
Hi Christoph, Thanks so much for shedding some light on my question. i guess i now know how to spec my hardware in the future. Having replaced the old 8600 series graphics card to a 250 series over a year ago, the difference has been great but obviously even the new card is out of date now. Once again, thanks for the information. Best Regards. Rick
