Hello Everyone!

I started my Australia-Tour 2011 some weeks ago allready - I really want to make a "go-around" the continent this time!

I started in Tasmania and i really have to say: I am speechless and most impressed about the tremendous improvements SP4 brought there when it comes down to landclass, coastlines and all this things!!

With all the fantastic OZx freeware airfields- and ports i really, really enjoy flying around there - i mean: i did enjoy before, but now it´s amazing - and: Highly recommandable! I know, You know, but if You have not been there for some time but have SP4 installed allready - give it a try again now and look for Yourself!

I took one of the A2A Spitfires with a great Jigsaw repaint (thanks again Jeansy for Your advice about the propeller!), put together some flightplan in Plan-G, turned on OpenClouds and well: Took Off at Lake Pedder!

I headed to the Victoria then, which also got at least some fine overhaul since SP4 - and at least as far as i can say!

...

I took many pictures this time - i am aware of that - but i was just too much and most positively surprised about how wonderful the ORBX/OZx-Australia sceneries now look like and i really wanted to share some of these fine moments of flying above ORBX/OZx-land with You!

Next time i won´t be posting that much pictures at once ... but for the moment:

Everyone, please enjoy!!

Christoph

P.S.: All pictures are straight from the v-key as i really liked the scenery that much as it was - so i just added some frames (and i don´t think i am that good with editing anyway! ;))

Okay: Let´s go - Out of YLPR, Lake Pedder... into some early morning above Tasmania ...

Wow!! Christoph, I’m lost for words with these shots and epic flight!

That was a real fun and inspiring trip to view and one I can’t wait to re create myself this weekend…. You took us all on a virtual tour of Tasmania and I can almost feel like I was there in your shots and narrative. You captured it all so well and have an amazing eye for these things!

Have saved this link in my favourites so I can return back here again and again and again……

Thanks for sharing you shots and flight plan here!

John

Thank You all very, very  much for Your kind and encouraging comments here!!

A great pleasure that You liked them!!

I will continue the over tour the next weeks, but i am still figuring out where exactly and how exactly to go ... - e.g. along Highway 1 of Australia from time to time or so... and also: Which plane to use as there are some very long distance flights without hardly any airports or airfields around and other areas where it´s real easy to find some good place to land in between ...

But: For the moment:

Thank You all very much again!!

Just the very best to all of You,

Christoph

and:

mangotango:

Some flights are allready reserved for the C-185 .... because there are some great new VH-SBU-repaints around there at the OZx-site as far as i know  ;)!

Wonderful!! thanks for sharing.

What particularly caught my eye was "... preparing for another touch and go at YAPO: Apollo Bay ..."

I lived in the town for almost 20 years and have been keeping amusing myself with the standard FSX scenery and an Apollo Bay strip I created myself because commercial scenery add-ons had been so disappointing.

Please tell me exactly what I need to buy to get the 'Bay airstrip to appear in FSX like this and end the disappointment :)

regards.
