Turnip
Why would you go and do that? I just learned to put up a shot in .JPG. The lifted up paper thing, is that done in CS3 or is that a SM effect?
Russ White
Why would you go and do that? The reason i will not be entering the competition is because John Venema has offered me a position at Orbx when the next airport project starts (YBBN), Therefore as a future Orbx contractor i will not be allowed to enter! The lifted up paper thing, is that done in CS3 or is that a SM effect? That curled paper effect, is actually a complex 3-Dimensional entity created within 3D Studio Max, using a dense modifier stack to create the curled edges. To complete the scene i created a comprehensive lighting rig with light tracing for diffused shadowing, and an omni light object with area calculated shadow projection for the harder cast shadows under the "paper". I work with photoshop and Studio Max on a daily basis so this sort of stuff comes as second nature to me. I enjoy doing creative shots like this so i will post again at some point showing the next creations! Russ.
