Goober
Just noticed the release of the new browser edition of GMap, here's the link. http://fswidgets.com/shop/download_files.php I read it would suit dual monitor users, as you can resize it, where you couldn't with the other one. Hope this is helpful. Goober

dmrich28
Works well and simple to use. Here's an example of it with the flightbag on top also running on 2nd monitor. Dave
tennyson
Fantastic, thanx Goober. But they still haven't solved the problem of it running in FSX in full screen mode. And I also couldn't resize it any smaller, either. Apart from those whinges, it's a great little proggy and I use it all the time. Thanx again, Frank
Bulldog
Hey Goober I just downloaded the browser version of widgets and it still won't work. Dave , can u put up a screenshot of fsx when u r flying so I can see your upper toolbar. I have fsx running in windowed mode and the icon is still in Africa. dmrich28
I can but you won't see anything different. Are you starting Widget after you are at a starting airport? ( I heard somewhere that may fix) Try that first? if it doesn't help, it also loads into AppData-roaming-microsoft-fsx into the dll. I could take a shot of that to show what mine looks like. The reason I know that is I'm trying to get the "tools" menu to show so I can play with the object placement within FSX before buying Instant Scenery..no luck so far. Let me know..but I'll be pretty busy the next 6 days. Dave

Grocs
Please excuse the newbie question - but what exactly does Widget allow you to do? Can you create flight plans from this at all? Just to confirm does this work ok on dual monitors with FSX? Cheers.
dmrich28
yes it works on dual monitors..the above shot is on a 2nd monitor. it won't create flight plans but will show the ones you do create in FSX
