mhlarsen
Crossing the coastline around Bundaberg, I found this minor error, when a road seems to continue into the ocean next to the Light-house.
joel.richters
When this is fixed can we get the proper runway length?
Ian Routley
Hi Michael The region of Burnett heads that you are looking at is part of the FTX Region, rather than the Bundaberg scenery as such. Interestingly that part of the vector road data is indeed correct, although there is a small harbour adjacent (see attached picture). I had considered putting a photoreal image on that part of the heads for this reason ... but then we'd still be waiting. @Joel: A quick look around the forums might have answered this one for you. An airport takes time to develop, and the runway at Bundaberg is not simply a standard FSX "Airport" file. It is in fact handmade, to match the surrounding satellite imagery. It is a 1:1 representation of the runway as it was last year. It consists of three layers and is (by far) the most complicated 3D model in the scenery. So, not simply a matter of making it "a bit longer". Hopefully if you can't tell how long it took to make, then it has been at least partly successful. Unfortunately, the airport has undergone aggressive modification in the last 12 months. There is no adequate imagery available of the new airport as it stands now. All available imagery has unacceptable cloud cover, so there won;t be any update any time soon. If we were to update airport scenery every time the airport was modified, you would need to buy a subscription, rather than a one-off purchase of $22!
