Mark Abdey
He-He: no one noticed the Cub change colour... phew Thanks for the comments Moonman, my spec are similar to yours with an X2 2.5ghz - 2GB RAM - 9800GT 1GB - WinXP SP3... but, despite it's age still gives excellent results with a few well placed tweaks and careful settings - I'm amazed what the old girl can do, and it's also testament to Orbx well balanced, well optimised scenery. A reasonable 42 fps despite the number of trees - it does vary of course, but in the country I manage a pretty consistent 35fps... I'm sure those with i7's and 400/500 cards get triple this however, but it's good enough for now. 'Unlimited' frame rate helps too, as long as you don't get stutters. Thank You very much for the info here RedLine - and definitely agree with You when it comes down to the great work done here by ORBX between balancing systemrequirenments and wonderful sceneries! My old pC here also does work pretty well most of the time... BUT... when i come to close to dense urban areas or bigger airports - as to be expected... my PC tends to really fall apart somehow - no surprise - it´s just a fact! Looking forward to change that somehow... isn´t there christmas around sometime now !! Thank You again and: have a many, many pleasant flights!! the moonman

Thank You again and: have a many, many pleasant flights!! the moonman Yes, naturally we're not going to cope so well in the denser areas... I run a 'Max Buildings Per Cell' line in the cfg set to 500, this helps an awful lot without a drastic visual loss. As long as the frame rate is consistent, I'm happy if it stays at 15 or above in the heavy areas' Many pleasant flights yourself
