Tailgunner
Designed by Brit David Cook in 1982, the Shadow is still rated one of the best microlights, with some 400 factory and kit built worldwide since 1982, and many still flying. With its 2-stroke 64 hp Rotax engine it has gained world speed and distance records for its class, and has twice been flown to Australia from the UK. It cruises at 100 mph, will take off from a cricket pitch. Cost today: around £7,000. I use to fly one, so was tickled pink to discover this excellent virtual version, which has just become available. It's payware, but the price is microlight too.
