alexf
I installed YMML2 normally. Answered Yes to run the dll first time and then the FSX splash-screen hangs forever. Killed the process and tried again. Then again, this time renaming logbook.bin, to no avail. It was working fine before the install. What should I try next? (Logbook.bin has been renamed back). Wolter van der Spoel
did you defrag before running fsx after installing ?
alexf
did you defrag before running fsx after installing ? Nope. Why would that hang the program? My disks are defragmented weekly automagically. I just checked and the FSX drive shows only 2% frag.
Wolter van der Spoel
in that case maybe some settings are a wee bit to high for the system to chew, mostly when fsX has a crash it is down to to much demand on CPU or vidcard memory

I have an i7-950 12GB RAM - GTX480 (not OC), so that should not be the case.
Ian Routley
At the risk of sounding like "The IT Crowd" have you tried to reboot the computer .... (yeah I know ... the bleeding obvious, but FSX is a cow sometimes)
