ross1562 Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 Hi all, I have seen a couple of posts suggesting reducing the amount of trees and stuff in the .cfg which will improve FPS and smoothness. I have a rough idea how to do this but can someone explain in detail how i do this and what values i should reduce them too? dmrich28 Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX open fsx.cfg with notepad add lines under [TERRAIN] as follows TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=1000 TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=1800 ***play around with the 1000 and 1800 values** they will be different on your system I'm always playing with them and for my "personal" taste HATE the look of too many autogen trees so this is what I'm using at the moment Dave Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
