Taph
hi Derek, The aircraft is the Aeriane Swift PAS powered glider created by David Rowberry, there are two versions with and without engine aeriane_swift.zip The SWIFT is a high performance foot-launched sailplane, designed to combine some of the convenience of hang gliders with the soaring performance of sailplanes. It takes off and lands like a hang glider, yet maintains exceptional performance at high speeds, achieving a lift-to-drag ratio of about 25:1. Although it is a fully-cantilevered rigid wing with aerodynamic controls and flaps, it weighs only about 100 lbs and is easily transported on the top of a car swiftpas.zip The Swift'Light engine kit is easy to adapt to a standard Swift'Light frame. This device opens a new dimension for the swift pilot as he becomes fully autonomous from external contingencies namely for taxiing and take-off and even from weather conditions. ui_manufacturer=Aeriane Ideal for low and slow, I use a wire launch when I need to go distance and conserve fuel by turning engine off if winds permit, it gives the best of both worlds glider and power when required (simulator only) Taph
