The same goes for the removed rain effect on the cockpit windows. True, but you also gain effects like kicking up dust with your helicopter, or water spray as you barrel down the runway for takeoff. Personally, losing raindrops on my windshield (which were self drying in FS9, instead of running down realistically) is a small price to pay for what I gain.
