sightseer Posted June 6, 2010 Share Posted June 6, 2010 I dont know what all is required to cut out all the detail for the watre masks but areas like this must have taken a very long time. Its these details that really make a difference to me. I hope these files arent too big. Im always trying to "dumb down" my files so they arent too big. It looks better in the sim. Tim Harris Posted June 7, 2010 Share Posted June 7, 2010 Yes it does take a while, Holger and JV did all the fantastic PR work for PNW, and I have a new found admiration for Holger's water masking at Tacoma port after just finishing masking the Portland river, which was a process of hours and hours of lassoing and hand painting all the little details into the water areas...I.e logs and rubbish washed up against the shore, booms around ships and all the little docks and marinas Sometimes its easier, but it depends on the aerial imagery as to how much auto-selection you can achieve Watermasking is always one of the first things I check out when snooping other peoples products Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
