Agrajag Posted May 9, 2008 Share Posted May 9, 2008 I had only visited a few FTX airfields before so decided to start at the first one listed in the user guide and bookmark them all. There are two fields that stuck out tonight though. The birds at Yalata were really cool. I just sat an watched them fly around for awhile. I had two unsuccessful approaches to Balfour. The first time I was too far into the runway so did a go-around. The second time I put it down but the brakes on the SF260 are terrible so did a touch an go! The third time I came in on the up-hill side at 5 knots above stall and landed right at the start of the runway, the gear got a bit more of a thumping than usual but not too bad. When I stopped I discovered I had plenty of room. ) 46 to go. I thought this would make a good online flight too. What better way to see the sights than forming a group and hitting all the airfields.
