Weird textures in Canary Islands

Thanks... I'm reading through your log file and can't really determine the cause, but I see lots of other errors, specifially:

'\imgui4xp.cpp907UWXP2.6.2 ERROR: 40961..\..\imgui4xp.cpp907UWXP2.6.2 ERROR: 40961..\..\imgui4xp.cpp907UWXP2.6.2 ERROR: 40961..\..\imgui4xp.cpp907UWXP2.6.2 ERROR: 40961..\..\imgui4xp.cpp907UWXP2.6.2 ERROR: 40961..\..\imgui4xp.cpp907UWXP2.6.2 ERROR: 40961..\..\imgui4xp.cpp907UWXP2.6.2 ERROR: 40961..\..\imgui4xp.cpp907UWXP2.6.2 ERROR: 40961..\..\imgui4xp.cpp907UWXP2.6.2 ERROR: 40961..\..'

This looks like it's coming from UWXP and it may be causing texture problems, but I'm not sure why it would be playing with another sceneries ortho files, unless it's trying to do seasons or something like that.

Can you please try just removing UWXP and then just test if that fixes the problem..

If that fails, then please do the following:

1) Go to your X-Plane's Custom Scenery folder, and open the folder Orbx_C_EU_Spain_Canaries_TE_Orthos

2) Open the textures folder and wait for them to all to be displayed...

3) Sort all the files by file type. You should see them grouped by DDS and PNG files

4) All the DDS files should be 11MB in size, if any aren't, then this could also cause the corruption.

5) If you see any that aren't 11MB, delete them and run verify files again in Orbx Central to redownload the missing files

Dear Tony,

yes, i removed uwxp completely first, but nothing changed. Then i deleted all .dds-files and redownloaded them (abt 7.7GB). But it also doesn´t changed the issue. I enclosed for you the last, actual logfile, without uwxp installed. Let´s hope we´ll fix it.

Greetings from Germany

Thanks Thorsten

There should be much more than 7.7GB of DDS files inside Orbx_C_EU_Spain_Canaries_TE_Orthos.... There should be 1988 of them, coming in at 22.41GB in size

Every DDS file should be 11.2MB and the numbers should match mine (1988 files). However, if anything is missing, X-Plane should crash and not just continue and render weird bright colour textures.

Some other things to try to debug before I report this one to Laminar Research:

1) Can you try disabling Vulkan and running again (If you're using Vulkan)

2) Temporarily remove Orbx_A_GCLA_LaPalma out of the folder and see if that resolves the problems (To rule out a bug at the airport since it's localised there)

3) Delete the entire scenery and reinstall (As long as your bandwidth isn't limited, then this should be around a 25GB download).

Sorry I can't give you a more concrete answer on this one, I have no idea what is causing this strange issue, and nobody else has reported anything similar so it does seem to be something local causing it, but it's hard to see what it is without some debugging (process of elimination) steps.
