John York
This is a mountain journey. Climbing to 14,500', and its raining! I'll say this for this 'plane, it get's up there pretty fast. Hope you like clouds Ah, in the clear at last Still a bit of snow about Another lot coming up. We're almost there so I hope I can get down in the clear. Yep, its nice and clear now but coming down from the mountains to a runway at 120' means a pretty steep slope Oops. Only just managed to stop. Parked up. Looks a nice little place this John Thank you ImageShack
ricky76
Reverse John Reverse! Great set of shots. Nice area up in the Howe sound eh (squamish) to bad there isn't enough decent imagery to give it the ftx airfield treatment :'(
John York
Hi Ricky It is on the FTX list of North West Airports etc., I would never have found it otherwise! To be honest I wasn't expecting much anyway 'cos it is out in the sticks. Glad you liked the piccies. No pictures this time but I continued on from there this afternoon to Sechelt-Gibbons in the Piper. Quite exciting keeping to the valley while gaining sufficient height to get up and over the top. I must start looking at runway lengths before I start out. It was another hairy landing but I seem to have got down without breaking anything!
