ninja123
I have trawled through the FAQs and replies regarding the FTX AI control , however I still get this message from FTX Central when attempting to switch to FTX AI Traffic in Australia ----- Could not switch option " FSX Default Traffic " This is what my FSX.CFG looks like [Main] User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc SimObjectPaths.6=ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAI_AIRCRAFT and FTXAI_TRAFFIC appears enabled in the Settings - Scenery Library and ORBX folder in FSX FTXAI_AIRCRAFT FTXAI_TRAFFIC Any suggestions please . Graham Eccleston
Check your Scenery\World\Scenery folder for a file called TrafficAircraft.bgl. This is your FSX default traffic file and the FTX Control Panel switches this on and of by adding and removing the notation _DISABLED_FOR_FTX_AI to the file type. For the switcher to work then, you must have the file TrafficAircraft.bgl or TrafficAircraft.bgl_DISABLED_FOR_FTX_AI within your Scenery\World\Scenery folder. Some other AI Traffic packages disable the default file as well and this may be the problem here.
ninja123
Thank you Graham for your reply . In my World /Scenery folder I have both entries trafficAircraft.bgl trafficAircraft.bgl.DISABLED-FOR-FTX-AI Are you suggesting I should rename trafficAircraft.bgl to something else, say trafficAircraft.backupbgl ? Hope to hear from you if this is the correct procedure .
Graham Eccleston
Yes rename that one and you should be good to go. I don't know how you ended up with the two files. you should only have one that is renamed each time you change your selection. Once you're happy all is working fine, you can delete the backup one.
