Central hangs on startup

When starting up Central 4.0.27, the program loads the splashscreen for v4.0.10 (first installation of Central on this machine), and simply hangs.

Trouble shooting:

  • Stop and re-start Central - no change
  • Reboot system - no change
  • Uninstall Central - no change
  • Uninstall Central, delete files in %App Data/Local and %App Data/Roaming - no change.

 

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks mate, that seems to have worked. However, it seems with Central, if it's not one problem, it's another problem.

 

Having started Central, I selected download of Global BASE Pack.

The dialog: "files scanning" hung at 862 of 9621.

As this was a significant amount of files yet to be scanned, I selected cancel,  with the intention of conducting a Manual Install.

Now Central is hanging on "Canceling" (sic).

Log is attached.

Hi!

 

You can force-clear the download in progress by deleting the following folder:

%Temp%\Orbx

If this happens again, first try restarting Orbx Central. It will automatically try to resume the installation again. If it stays frozen, let us know and we can look into this further.
