TonyVT
Hello, After purchasing, installing, and running TrueEarth US Northern California HD I’m wondering if my X-Plane 11 settings are set to the most optimum. I’m using an Apple MacBook Pro 2016 Touch Bar with the following specs: Processor: 2.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Memory: 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 530 1536 MB The very bright and striking picture was taken from one of the many Orbx Central promo pictures. The larger picture is a screenshot as I was flying near the Golden Gate Bridge, obviously trying to mimic the promo picture. So the question is, can I adjust my X-Plane settings to achieve the striking quality of the promo picture? Thank you for any advice Tony Ventura
BradB
Welcome to the forum Tony , make sure to set your visibility to the max ( 100 miles -I think ) . That little tweak has helped my shots the most . Cheers John

john548
The colours are probably enhanced with something like XVision. Cheers.
TonyVT
Thank you, John548, for the tip on xVision. http://x-vision.pro/index.html. I wasn't aware of that tool. I'll check it out. Tony
Tornado16
Tony As I've discovered, there are X-Plane add-ons and there are X-Plane add-ons. Unfortunately most tend to be Windows only, as with xVison, and few are Mac compatible - this is from their user manual: Windows 7 (64-bit version) or later. Mac OS or Linux are not supported. TonyVT
Hi Tony, Yes, the plugins I’m starting to learn about seem to be favoring Windows. When I went to the xVision site, I saw that Mac OS and Linux are not supported. By the way, thank you for providing that information. Tony
