BNE error plus general rendering

Recommended Posts

Dear Sirs,

We have been trialling your BNE airport model, we have found that there is an error with the airport lighting. This model is still using the T-VASI approach lighting, which is now very old as BNE uses the world standard PAPI system. Could you at your convenience update this model.

On a separate issue, we are using your airport models YBCG, YBBN and YMML. The system is on a P3D platform. As we make an arrival, the building of the airport model is very slow and in some cases the runway is never rendered correctly up to the landing. The rest of the visuals around the airport area appear to be drawing correctly. Please advise a course of action we can look at to fix.

Regards,

David

Brisbane is an "old" Orbx product and when it was developed the T approach lights were in use. Generally at the time an airport is developed, it is a snapshot of the airport at that particular point in time. Updates to reflect the changes over time are not guaranteed.

As for poor runway (and building) rendering, are you using AU2? If so, download the new Orbx Central (as opposed to FTX Central) and cycle the AU2 tick box in the YBBN (and other airports) configurator within this program. As a side note, YBBN is notorious for using a lot of the computers resources, and thus selecting less demanding options in the configurator is suggested. As for YBCG, if you have Gold Coast city scene as well, this will greatly increase the rendering that the computer must do.
