PNW is fantastic but need advice upgrading computer

Downloaded and installed PNW and it is a stunning piece of work but really showed me my computer needs an upgrade. This is what I have now:

Intel E2160 dual core at 1.8ghz

4gb ram at 800mhz

GeForce 9500 GT 1gb

2 500gb SATA

Vista 32bit

FSX + Accel

I run FSX with most sliders at 1/2 to 3/4 depending on scenery and aircraft used and FR locked at 20. I normally get 15 to20 fps unless the scenery is dense or I'm running a complex aircraft ( CS727 or C-130 ) and I've been happy with that.

I fully realize this system is old and cannot run PNW with these settings and get frames above 10 so it's upgrade time. I was planning on doing an i7 build later this year but want to do an intermediate upgrade for now.

This is what I was planning to buy for now:

ASUS P5Q Pro mobo

Core2 Duo E7500 2.93ghz

4gb ram 1066mhz

Good choice or could I do better? I'm looking at keeping the total at $350 US or lower.

edit: Was just up on Newegg and saw that I could get an i3 and mobo for about the same price as the above combo, so would this setup be a better choice:

i3-530 Clarkdale 2.93ghz

ASUS P7H55-M Pro mobo

4gb DDR3 1600mhz

Just my opinion, but personally I think I would hold out and go for the i7 build later in the year.
