tim_A
Today's little trip takes us up into the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, and back down to Cooma again. The plane's been hangared overnight. Which is nice. [img width=1160 height=309]http://img704.imageshack.us/img704/2302/nsw0403.jpg There's a grass extension to the runway, which means we're off the ground before we even reach the tarmac! [img width=1160 height=309]http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/1169/nsw0404.jpg Round the edge of the town, and off up into the foothills. [img width=1160 height=309]http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/6052/nsw0405.jpg Our first glimpse of Lake Eucumbene [img width=1160 height=309]http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/1299/nsw0406.jpg There's the strip - quite hard to spot! [img width=1160 height=309]http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/1407/nsw0407.jpg Short final, and the runway is still hard to distinguish. (fortunately there are edge markers!) Note the dirt cross runway. [img width=1160 height=309]http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/2999/nsw0413.jpg Final. Looks like we've got the world's most powerful landing light too! Iain_Mc
Great pictures, thanks! Just out of interest (as I'm considering that Diamond) - that annoying post-it note isn't there on all the virtual cockpits is it? Cheers, Iain
tim_A
Dunno -- I haven't been annoyed enough to look.

alehead
Lovely flight! How are you finding the Diamond? That "post-it" on the dash is a bit of a PITA... it would drive me nuts... And all its lights are a little overpowered... But good to see a Diamond for FSX... Andrew
tim_A
It flies very nicely, but yes it does have its annoyances and issues, it's short on views, and the extras are not there, such as you might find in an A2A Accusim package. But overall it's a nicely built plane.
