johnny
Hi, why would a Q9650 3GHz CPU at 309 euro be more expensive than an i5 670 3.5Ghz at 280 euros. Do you reckon going from a Q6600 2.4 to a Q9650 3.0 is really worth it for FSX, without any overclocking, don't fancy that. running with a GTX275. Is it the quad core that sells for more ? johnny
Maurice_King
Quad Core v Dual Core you do the math, in all honesty a i5 670 can't blow wind up a Q9650 butt. Even though the Q9650 was originally launched in 2008 it it IMHO a far superior CPU than the i5 is despite the fact is is OLD technology in comparison ................... Details Q9650, 4 Processors running at 3Ghz, 12 Mb I/O Cache, FSB 1333 Mhz, 45nm Architecture Max Memory Size 16 GB, Memory Types DDR3-1066/1333 Memory Channels 2 the downside is it is Socket 775 i5-670 2 Processors @ 3.47 Ghz, 4Mb I/O Cache, FSB 1333 Mhz, 32nm Architecture (this is NOT a Quad Core Chip) Max Memory Size 16 GB, Memory Types DDR3-1066/1333 Memory Channels 2 Socket 1156
