coffeecup1978 Posted November 13, 2018 Share Posted November 13, 2018 I know that the TrueEarth products are "all the rage" atm, but I was wondering if anyone have thought about "baking" (not sure this is the right expression, but..) the FTX regions for e.g. XP11 and Aerofly? In other words basically stitch all the "tiles" together to one big "fake" sat image, and use that in non-tile based flightsims like XP11/AFS2. I know at first this would sound crazy, since "why would you not just use a sat image e.g. ortho4XP style?", but consider: * Not all regions have sat images obtainable for ORBX for various reasons, e.g Norway * The current FTX products are so much more than just the background, all the hand designed building, bridges objects. Current there are not e.g. Norway in AFS2, and I would be happy to fork out some cash to have what I see in P3D in there, as EU Norway is just fantastic to look at as it is?
