RallyFan
Dang, I just realised the B52 doesn't have a nosewheel (in the traditional sense), how the heck does one taxi this monstrosity?
ricky76
well as far as I know, the front and rear main gear can be opperated independently. That is why it can touch the runway while in a "crab" angle. I have seen this aircraft land a ton of times at Abbotsford airshow. Watching it land head on, in a crosswind is quite something! The gear follows the runway heading, while the plane crabs into the wind, AND lands and takes off with a nose down attitude!
