Hi All,

December issue no 107 of Oz mag 'Atomic' had results of comprehensive test of Solid State Drives:

Summary:

Corsair P128        75%  Garbage collection algorithm unreliable

Corsair P256        65%  similar issues and 'Buggy'

Corsair X128        85%  No bugs performance grand for price

G Skill Falcon      72%  Firmware update erases all data - big awkward issue

Kingston M80      60%  expensive, not fast enough, outdated

Kingston V64        35%  so slow makes a hard disk look fast

Kingston V+64      72%  good drive, expensive

OCZ Agility 120    75%  variable memory chips -vertex better choice

OCZ Summit  120  61%  expensive and unsupported

OCZ Vertex  120    88%  fast, good updates, not too expensive

OCZ Vertex Ex 120 70%  fast, hideous price

Mate,

I been trying to find some time to go around to bazza's place so he can show me hoe to oc my cpu, but I have to admit that at the moment, since putting win 7 on it and ironing out a few flaws, it's pretty damn good.

I would still like to take it up to 4 Ghz and get the most out of it, but am planning another upgrade soon, so might just hang off until the next major change.

FSX/FTX are running the best they ever have and all my add-ons are running as per advertised....all's quiet on the western front mainly!
