Edward Boyte
Today I was flying around Auckland Intl Airport, NZAA and finally an Emirates A380 came into land! I was excited. But when it slowed down to go into taxiway it dissapeared! This has happened to some other FTX AI traffic. I've heared that if the taxiway isn't big ennough for some AI it dissapears? Is that true? Graham Eccleston
That will happen if there is insufficient parking of the appropriate size at the airport. I don't think the FSX default APX for Auckland has any parking spots over 36m and the A380 requires 41m. Most of the larger Airbus's and Boeings require a spot over 31m and the default Auckland APX only has 3 spots over that size. Once they are taken, any subsequent aircraft with a wingspan setting over say, 24M will just disappear on landing. You can fix this by editing the parking positions within the APX to provide parking spots of the required size.
