trisager
After buying and installing FTX Blue with no problems, I'm now trying to install YMML SP1. However, after cut-and-pasting (and making sure the information is correct) into the on-line validation screen and hitting "next", I get a pop-up message containing only the text "<br />". The only option at that point is to hit "OK", which brings me back to the validation screen. This is on Windows 7 64-bit RC1 (build 7100). I tried the obvious stuff - rebooting, running as administrator, without success. Is there a problem with the validation service? trisager
Good suggestion, but as I said, that is one of the obvious things I've already tried. Tom
Wolter van der Spoel
Make darned sure that you have : a. Administrator rights b. Turn OFF UserAccountControl(UAC) !!! Did you have a previous install of YMML ? if so, manually edit the following: go to=> .....\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts and delete scenerylib_AU_YMML.cfg go to=> .....\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\FTX_AU and delete FTXAA_YMML after doing this run the FTXConfigurator.exe (it is in the scripts folder) you will not see anything, but it does it's work in silent mode so you wil not get any notification. fire up fsX to let it rebuild it's Dbase, check the scenery controlpanel in fsX that the FTXAA_YMML entry has been removed. shut down fsX. re-install YMML SP1 fire up fsx to rebuild Dbase check YMML shut down fsX run the SP3.001 patch and the SP3.001b patch fire up fsX rebuild D base check YMML shut down and defrag that should sort it
trisager
Thanks for helping with this. I noticed a bit later that http://www.flightsimstore.com/ was not responding, so probably the validation server was down. The installer is running OK now.
