arnobg
I want to expand my support for ORBX with the new NA Landclass however, I purchased UTX USA just not long ago thinking FTX wouldn't be completed this soon. Can I use the vector data from UTX with landclass data and textures from NA OpenLC?
PandaBare
Here's from the OpenLC North America user manual" Ultimate Terrain (UTX) FTX Global openLC competes with UTX since we replace landclass data contained in UTX. You have a lot of configuration options available using the UTX configuration tool and we recommend you take time to explore what works best when FTXG and openLC are combined. arnobg
I guess this means they are compatible and I could use the vector data and roads?
Pete Wilcox
Yes you can. That's how I run FSX. Just make sure OLC is above the UTX Urban Landclass in the scenery library. You can easily do that by using the insertion point tool in FTX Central.
dental12
Hi So just to make sure i understand, the only thing to do to use olc na with utx v2 is to alter the scenery library order and not to uncheck the utx landlass components in scenery library thx Lee
Pete Wilcox
I don't believe you need to uncheck it as the higher landclass takes precedence but I went ahead and unchecked anyway. I experimented with keeping the UTX Vegetation layer but that seems to negate OLC so it must be lower in precedence also.
