Stunning views of Southern England (FTX England)

I just thought that I would share a couple of pictures with you.

I have installed FTX England & Scotland and have been out on a little journey so see how they look.

I have turned all of my settings up to max to see what it looks like. And I have been completely blown away! :)

The south downs in all their autumn glory (I love those trees!)

The M25 snaking its way up through Surrey (quieter than usual though ;))

I am going to check out Scotland now

Good work ORBX!

Andrew

Thanks for posting these.. and welcome to the forums. To be honest, and not knowing what Sim you are running, or what your system is, I have to say that your first shot is missing a bunch of stuff.. Perhaps the guys here can help a bit if you post a little info re these points.. Teecee.

Dear Newbie, unfortunately your tongue in cheek post is currently not very helpful.

I have a low end i7-920, 2.7Ghz machine with GTX260 - by today's standards, ancient.  Yet I can fly around EU, everywhere except big urban areas at near 30fps. And no blurriness. Mind you I have a nicely tweaked system and fsx.cfg file.

If your looking for help so you can enjoy the area perhaps provide us folks some "clear" background on your system specs, other addons, other settings.

cheers

Bryan

My apologies. I posted this in the wrong forum!

I wasn't looking for support. I meant to post in the Community Screenshot forum.

Thanks any way :)

Something very wrong in these pics. It should look way better

Hi,

I only used slew to move the aircraft to the right a bit. So, the scenery didn't need to 'catch up'.

Having now seen some of the other screenshots, I am beginning to think that this is about as good as my system, and it is the problem. I fly around with everything set for performance rather than beauty. it is a laptop with onboard graphics, i5 quad core 2.8ghz, 8gb ram. So, even when I max everything out for some screen shots, it is incapable of displaying graphics in the same way as others on here.

This is an example of how the world looks to me during flight with max settings (fps 12).

In the immediate vicinity of the airfield things do look better. But after a few miles it looks like this.
