Maarten Otto
Hi Guys, I recently bought FTX Base, OLC EU, Vector, England and Scotland. Installed it and I like it much. But I have problems with the Autogen draw distance as can be seen in the picture that I took shortly after leaving Gatwick EGKK 26L Is there a way to get more trees in the distance? neo2810
Settings > Scenery > Level of Detail Radius - High/Ultra/Max ... Or set your LOD Radius to 6.5 in your .cfg file. If that doesn't work, you may have a related problem to mine where trees in England/Scotland/Wales are just missing....
Maarten Otto
It indeed is strange as I have much more trees in say USA. A thing I can think of is the way scenery is loaded in to the sim. So what would be the preferred sequence in the scenery library for OrbXx and regions? There was a topic in the LM forum saying that the maximum autogen draw distance is 6.5 (slider in MAX position) in P3DV3, i.e. even entering a higher value in the config file has no effect. They may add something in V3.1 that allows for an increased draw distance. Quote: "As stated previously, going outside the presets may cause visual glitches, stability issues, OOMs etc. That said, we're doing some internal testing with more configurable draw distances for terrain and scenery. If it goes well, we may include some new cfg entries in the next release for power users to try non-preset values."
