andrew22222
Hi, I was flying from Sydney to Orange in FSX using FTX Blue. Just curious, The area around Orange, (Bathurst, Cowra etc) is that the actual landscape colour at the moment? I mean are the FTX March season textures a true likeness to whats 'really' out the plane window? I previously had a photo image overlay of just the Orange area from a well known online map server and eveything looked so dry. Perhaps it was taken in december/January? Thanks Andrew
markwlee
It's probably rained a heap there this season - just choose the season which gives you the best look . Every year will be different.
andrew22222
Thanks for the reply. I changed the actual months within FSX to January instead and the 'dryer' textures were more prominent. Looks good now. Just clicking on summer brings out the green. Andrew
Maurice_King
Online Maps ie Google and NASA are often taken during Summer when the skys are clearest which will make the Sat images generally very dry looking.
