Gauthier Malou
I m reinstalling all my orbx stuff. When i installed Pacific Nw , it screwed textures in Canada/alaska (textures got mismatched) I had to reinstall openlc Canada. I think it is because of the terrain.cfg location change since PNW. Am i right ? What should i have done ? Install PNW first , then openlc canada ? OR maybe if i copied terrain.cfg in my main directory before to install PNW , it would have been good ? (The fact i did not do that, maybe i screwed things up when i "applied" after PNW install Am i right ?
Gauthier Malou
Now i'm scared to install old orbx products, because i have the feeling that after the installation, they will open the old FTX central , make a terrain.cfg error and screw the other product installs please help
shermank
Here's what I have done when the Old FTXC opens. I wait and let the routine run. When it is finished, I immediately click on V2, check the Installation layers and then rerun Global (hybrid checked). I then start FSX and check the scenery layers. If there any problems, I reorder in the proper fashion, close FSX, reopen FTX V2 and rest Global Hybrid. it's a lot of steps, but it helps. Gauthier Malou
thank you , when Old FTXC opens, if i let the routine run , it will pop up the Terrain.cfg missing error message. is it ok ? i just ignore this message (don t even close it) and open FTXC2 to apply ? Alex Goff
Having the error pop up doesn't cause any issues, the old FTX Central just can't find the file and takes no action. It's perfectly safe, just continue using FTX-C2
shermank
Alex, hi....you read my method above, which I wrote from memory while at work. Do you approve of the order of doing things as I outlined it. As I say it was from memory, rather from being right in front of my home screen with FTXC. thanks.
