  1. Thanks for the advice Doug. Just downloaded and reinstalled Orbx Central. No problems. Working like it did in the past. I must be going senile or something. Very weird. Graham
  2. Hi Doug Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't appear to be the case. I use Norton Internet Security, and I've checked through the quarantine list and the scan logs but there's nothing. It's like it just vanished overnight. I'm going to try downloading and reinstalling it. See what happens. Graham
  3. Good Morning All Don't know what's going on. Clicked on the shortcut for Orbx Central this morning, and got the message "The item "Orbx Central.exe" that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut?". I did a search on both my C: and D: drives and it couldn't find any trace of Orbx Central.exe or Orbx-central. The folder Orbx-central-updater is still present in C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local, and looking inside that folder there is a folder "pending" and a file called package.7z which is 79,874kb. Inside the pending folder are two files, Orbx-central-4.1.23.exe which is 685kb, and update-info.json . The strange thing is it was working fine earlier this week. I've never had a problem with it before. My computer is a fairly new HP with an i5 processor, 16gb RAM, running Windows 10 Home version 1909, C: is a 250gb SSD and D: is a 2Tb hard drive Would appreciate help before I start clicking buttons trying to get it back without knowing what I am doing. Thanks Graham
  4. Hi Doug I don't have an Orbx region for that area, apart from NA Landclass, and there's not much in the way of settings for that. Graham
  5. Hi Doug No, that didn't solve it. Still the same, in FSX at least. There don't appear to be any water settings in Vector for P3D. Graham
  6. I have both FSX and P3Dv5 installed on my computer with many of the Orbx products, including Global Vector and Global OpenLC North America. I also have NAPacific NorthWest but not NAPacific Fjords. I have been considering buying Pacific Fjords, and have been "flying" the area around Bella Bella to get to know the lay of the land. On taking off from Bella Bella, head west over the islands until you reach open water. In both P3Dv5 and FSX I have found many of what appear to be "icebergs" scattered across the sea in this area. Additionally many of the offshore islands appear to be below sea level. In FSX, the outline of the beaches are visible, with breaking waves on the shoreline. In some cases part of the land is visible disappearing into the sea. In P3Dv5, the islands and beaches are not visible, they've all sunk. As a similar effect is apparent in both programmes, I presume this is an Orbx issue. Is there any way of fixing this? I have tried running the Automatic Elevation Correction tool in Orbx Central, at least for FSX (I can't find the AEC tool for P3D), but without any effect. My second question relates to NA Pacific Fjords. If I were to purchase and install this, would that correct the submerged land and "iceberg" issue? Many thanks Graham
  7. Apologies for my late reply Nick. I solved the problem using the Global Vector Configeration Tool.
  8. Good Morning All. I don't often post, but I currently have a problem with EGTG Filton in FTX England. I bought a new computer last week and have installed FSX. I've also installed all of my ORBX stuff onto it, but I haven't installed many aircraft yet. I was in the process of carrying out a short trial flight and decided to land at EGTG Filton. The view of the airfield looked ok from about 1500 ft on finals, but then most of the runway and airfield was progressively blocked out by what appeared to be grass. I continued in on the approach and eventually passed through the grass layer onto the runway below. I also tried landing on the grass to the south east of the runway, which was successful, but as I taxied across the airfield my aircraft fell through the grass layer onto the ground below. The grass layer appears to be about 20 feet above the runway. I expect this has been raised before with different airports. I remember I had the same problem with Filton when I first installed FTX England on my old computer, but cannot remember how I rectified the problem. I think I installed a freeware Filton on top of the FTX stuff in the scenery library, but I'm sure there is a better fix. Can anyone advise me as to the correct method of fixing this? Many thanks for your help Graham
