  1. KHTO is in the latest freeware pack, so now we have a few Long Island airports. I'm still hoping for KFRG.
  2. KGRI - Central Nebraska Regional, aka Grand Island A medium sized regional airport with GA and some air carrier traffic, particularly interesting to me because: I'm currently in the middle of my annual jaunt from my base in NY (KFRG) to the west coast to enjoy the Orbx west regions. As much as possible I'm flying from one Orbx airport to another, spaced about 90 - 130 miles apart. I'm currently at Fremont (KFET), northwest of Omaha. The next Orbx airport to the west is North Platte Regional, (KLBF), almost 200 miles away. This is a bit long. Another airport in east-central Nebraska would be great, and this is an interesting one anyway. Josh Flowers, who does the MrAviation101 YouTube channel flew from Texas to KGRI to observe last summer's total eclipse - three nice films, the second of which feature nice shots of this airport. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77CvL2cQXMY Thanks, Ken
  3. Spadaro/Lufker and Fishers Island are already in the NA freeware collection, but I fully agree with you on all the others. I also agree with your comments about lighthouses. This is a major problem in flying VFR in this area, especially at night, because the lighthouses are as much an aid to navigation for aviation as they are to shipping. There's a lighthouse (race Rock, just off Elizabeth Field Rwy 11, which helps in the approach. Then all up and down the Sound and the South Shore of LI. Montauk, Fire Island, Ambrose tower, Brenton Reef, Pt, Judith, Great Gull and Plum Islands - the list goes on. Please? Ken
  4. Two requests for the future, interesting airports, but I also have personal reasons: St Cloud MN (KSTC). Fair sized regional airport serving St Cloud, the town in which my wife gre up. and Atlantic, IA (KAIO). My father was born in this town. I don't remember him (he died when I was two) and the family (what I know of it) has long gone elsewhere, but I like to stop here on my cross country jaunts to honor his memory and wonder "what if?"
  5. I'd love to see KMGJ too. So much of south eastern NY could benefit from the Orbx touch: KPOU and KFRG, among others. Ken
  6. Kingman, AZ (KIGM). A forest of pine trees all over the airport, including blocking much of the ramp and RWY 17/35. I have Vector, NA OLC, and So Cal scenery installed; don't have a clue as to which level causes the problem. Ken
  7. KVHN - Van Horn Texas, Culberson Co airport. (Yes, I know this is an obscure one). The windsock is in the middle of RWY 3-22. I don't know if this is even an Orbx problem, since this is a default FSX airport, but I post it here for what it's worth. Ken
  8. While talking about New York, love to see some Long Island airports get the treatment. To start, my "home " airport, Republic (KFRG) Neil did a beautiful job enhancing this field when ne corrected some "misfit" problems, but the whole could use the Orbx touch, especially the American Airpower Museum at the northeast end and the terminal area. There is also Brookhaven, (KHWV) and the delightful "blast from the past," the little rural aerodrome, Bayport (23N). Also the "cradle of aviation" is home to Long Island MacArthur (KISP), East Hampton, (KHTO) Any of these would be great. Ken
  9. There are so many interesting airports that could be listed! I'd like to suggest KPOU, Duchess County. With the new OLC NA the Hudson Valley is great, and this airport is about halfway between NYC and Albany. Ken
  10. I'm with Greg on Hyannis (HYA). It's one of my favorites too. If we're talking about a New England pack. I'd love to see Green State (Providence RI - KPVD). I used to live a few blocks from the end of RWY 5 on Post Rd, and for a short while worked at Jay Plastics which is in an industrial park on the east side of the RWY. Also Hartford, CT (KHFD). is a favorite I'd love to see get the wonderful Orbx treatment. Ken
  11. Hi Neil, Just discovered another one - rather minor really. At Eire Intl (KERI) the highway takes a shortcut across the GA Ramp at the west end of the field (at the end of taxiway D).
  12. I'd like to second the request of Jerrymc3 for some Texas airports. Although I do most of my flying in the North East, I do like to fly Texas. I'd especially like to add San Marcos (KHYI) and Gillespie County, Fredericksburg (T82). Ken
  13. Hi, How about Bradley Intl (KBDL) in Windsor Locks, CT USA. This would be especially appropriate as the neighboring New England Air Museum is the site of FlightSimCon, of which ORBX is a sponsor, in June. I think conference attendees, as well as many others, would love to see an accurate rendition of this airport, including the Sheraton, where most stay, and, of course, the Museum. Ken
  14. Thanks very much, Neil. I should have mentioned we're talking about the east side of the airport, between the airport and the cemeteries. Although such a massive project as the ORBX sceneries, at all levels, is bound to have a couple of "bugs", this is a wonderful advance, and I'm enjoying it greatly. Thanks again, Ken
  15. KFRG - Farmingdale/Republic. In reality New Highway runs south from Conklin Av parallel to RWY 1-19, then turns SE to parallel RWY 14-32. The new Vector has the northern section cut across the GA ramp east of RWY 1-19 and on the west side of the ramp past the American Airpower Museum area. It goes right through a building. I've temporarily solved the problem by turning of traffic on secondary roads; it was disturbing to have cars and trucks whizzing by just behind my plane. Thanks Ken
