  1. @Scott Harmes

Hi Scott, just thought I would supply the info how the reinstall went.

After removing the rest of the MSFS bits, I reinstalled it, and only took 30 minutes or so. ( I had copied my Official Account prior to reinstall, and placed it back during the reinstall, which greatly shortened the load time)

Reinstalling the Orbx sceneries was straightforward. Each owned scenery gave me the two choices. Reinstall into the Sim Folder or into the Orbx Library.

I chose the Orbx library this time and was simple. It even worked out where the Community Folder was.

Maybe it is the reinstall, but MSFS is now quicker to load and move about.

  2. Thanks Scott, I did not uninstall MSFS, it just happened, I suspect when I was trying  a disk cleaning utility....it zapped MSFS. When I tried to open MSFS later that day, it said I needed to download 198GB of files !!

I can see all my sceneries are listed, just with empty circles. But, when I select any of the sceneries, it offers to install. Fortunately, I did tick the create backup when first downloaded. And I did install them in the folder. I have often wondered about installing sceneries into the Library.

    Anyway, thanks for the advice.

  3. Hi guys, I seem to have some sort of meltdown where MSFS2020 as lost its way and need to do a full uninstall and reinstall.

Looking at Orbx Central, I can still see my products, but all unticked, with a note to install. I noticed a comment in my settings about an available back up of my products.

When I reinstall MSFS2020, and get back to a clean copy, do I 'simply' reinstall all my products...

  4. Hi,

When I open the Fly Tampa configurator for Sydney or Global, neither mention Australia v2.

OK, found the Fly Tampa Sydney_LC, and stopped it out.

Using a little system search program, "Everything", it finds tons of AU v2, but no mention of control panel associations.

EDIT: ok, applied the YBBN update, and the v2 box appeared. Now double buildings gone. All sweet.

Anyway, no worries. I will create a new post if I encounter further issues. Thanks for the help.

  5. Thanks for the quick reply Nick.

OK, the proverbial penny has dropped, and now much clearer. These updates are only for ORBX payware/freeware already owned or now sold via Orbx direct.

If we have some Orbx pay/freeware already, when V2 is applied, some issues maybe evident. By applying the updates mentioned by Graham, it will help resolve some issues.

And yes, I knew Australia AU did not have extra buildings. And great that V2 now has buildings.

If we obtain Orbx airports now, they should be already updated via Orbx Central.

I saw in the V2 user guide I may need to remove a, " Fly Tampa-Sydney_LC" entry. I have this scenery. Any ideas where do I find this file? I looked all over my machine.

  6. I have just installed the AU v2. My first observations are the stock airports, at least those I have seen in QLD. seem overflowing with buildings compared to the original AU scenery.

I am a tad confused about the airport updates I see in Nicks comment about Graham's post.

Is the idea we load v2, then when done, we have to apply these updates files into the main ORBX folder in P3D. So, in the case of say YBUD_bundaburg.P3D, do I drill into the downloaded file after extraction and do what ? And then it says to open the control panel...Do these stock airports now have their own control panels? I am using FTX Central
