As the old saying goes "better to be on the ground wishing you were up there rather than being up there wishing you were on the ground".

Hi Nick, a somewhat disappointing response. My purchase history will show I have been a loyal customer since 2015 and although I do not post very often, I read the forum almost daily. I was on the Board of a very large and well respected VA and we had ways and means of handling issues such as the one you spoke of without penalising those who did not often contribute (many of whom felt reluctant to do so because English was not their first language).
I'll accept your response but perhaps you can pm the target as I assume you have the ability to do so.
Thanks.

Thanks Nick for the response. I did surmise a minimum amount of posts might be the answer however I could not find this stipulation. What is the minimum amount required and is it clarified anywhere?
Thanks.

Thanks Don.

I am unable to pm another member. When I open the pm dialogue box I am advised I am allowed 0 messages per day. I have read the forum rules but can see nothing about limitations on pm's. Grateful for any advice.

If that had been in my household the atmosphere would have been extremely chilly and I would have been frozen out for at least several days.

Never had Yorkshire pudding on Christmas Day, but then again never had roast beef on the big day. Sprouts I can take or leave but if I have them it results in all windows open.

Taph,
With those locations I assume a Forces man? I completely forgot I spent Christmas in Belmopan in 1981 then departed a couple of days later to spend Hogmany in Beirut. Like you now a man of Kent.

Playing marbles in the school playground and in the autumn collecting chestnuts for games of conkers.

I am wary of any sentence my wife starts with the words "what, where, who, when and why". The last one is especially dangerous.

Never forget, it's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.

My first taste of flightsimming was in 1983 when I bought a Sinclair Spectrum 48k, dug out from my attic last night and pictured here with my current setup. It came with a six pack, but not of beer but computer games. I can recall Horace Goes Skiing and Jet Set Willy were two titles along with a very rudimentary flight simulator which I remember as basically a green screen with gridlines and a black runway.

Definitely spooky. Listening to Marty Robbins singing El Paso, a song I recall listening to in the sixties which my dad played over and over on his little record player. That song and others by Marty has fascinated me over the years. One day, I'll get to El Paso I'm sure.
