So in regards to the runway it wasn't an extension. They are bringing the runway overrun up to code because there had been too many incidents where pilots were dumping their planes into the ocean. The runway is still going to be 3601' with the east end having 180' of more over-run. Apologies about the confusion.

Right? Obviously with the way airspace is IRL its not too easy for pilots to take a jaunt around the launch pads up at Kennedy Space Center. I know about two months ago they were extending the runway at KCOI which is pretty cool. But it's definitely an awesome place to fly. Great visual approaches and approach markers as well.

I've posted before but I think KCOI would be a wonderful addition.

I would love to see KCOI - Merritt Island Florida done. The current airport looks absolutely nothing like the real thing. If you would like I can provide up to date pictures of the entire airport to help in the development process.
