Download the "shift-Z" app from flightsimto, it is the same as the function in FSX and P3D - it shows the sim speed which makes it much easier to change - I hold ctrlR then + or - to do this. Also shows speed, altitude etc as in FSX

Me too with my 1070, image much sharper and GPU temperature at 48c, still well within acceptable limits.

I read this string with interest since I have had a somewhat analogous situation and want to share it with you.
Six months ago I moved house (into a retirement home) so was very busy for a while. The home had its own Internet account so I had to change my e-mail address which caused all sorts of problems elsewhere.
When I fired up MSFS I found all Velocity One custom settings had disappeared (curses under my breath about the MSFS update system). So, I did a partial re-config then discovered that several aircraft were missing (more curses).
I explored the forums and got suggestions like Phil’s, signed out of the MS Store which then prompted me to sign back in to an “alternative”? account, which turned out to be my original e-mail address, which I did. Eureka!! All my V1 settings were restored as all my aircraft (curses about MSFS withdrawn).
