I've actually found the culprit Nick.
Scandinavian enhancement addon was the culprit. I'll leave this post here in case anyone else comes accross this

Hi when I activate a season my community folder is somehow corrupted as in msfs2020 i cannot access my profile/updates pWhen I revert the files it is accessible again.
Hope this makes sense

I reinstalled REX weather and all seems well. I too had just upgraded REX accuseason to the advanced version. I wonder if they've swapped authentication servers in the upgrade process. All good for me at least late Sunday evening UK time.

I've sent REX a ticket but is anyone else getting Registration not valid as they try to use the program.

I can't honestly see the need for airport internals. It does look very nice though and as usual you can count on me purchasing the title.

Rex Accuseason corrupts community folder

So there are extra things you can select to enhance the product in certain areas of the world. One of them is Scandinavia and northern Europe.
I selected this option but found when I went to check my updates in MSFS2020 the page would not load. Researching this I found that something in my community folder was corrupt.
I moved everything out of my community folder and added it back bit by bit until the problem came back. I found that when rex accuseason was removed the problem went away. So I fine tuned my accuseason installs and found that when I selected the Scandinavian Enhancment option the corrupt file was added to the folder again. When I removed the enhancment, the problem went away.
So all good now.
