Hi Cathy,
I think it's a good idea to upgrade to the latest version of P3D v5, which is 5.4. The reason is that the performance of v5 is better than v4. So I will think v5 will run better on your laptop than v4. At the AVSIM forums you can find a number of topics about this subject (performance v5 versus v4). Also on youtube.
About the font size; Nick is right.

Yes indeed very good news. I think more airports, regions and LC products will follow to be compatible with v6. Because it makes no sense to release only one product for v6. In this case ymml.

I also have ENCN and LDSP but at my side no problems with this scenery. I'm als on P3D 5.4. I don't know what the solution is for your problem. Perhaps you can try a "Verify Files" first and then "Sync simulator". But maybe you already tried that. -
Indeed; it makes sense from a business standpoint. It is what it is. So no hard feelings. On the other hand; some companies still see some business opportunities for the P3D platform. Like Sierrasim; they just released Harrisburg for P3D 4, 5 and 6 a few days ago. And a few more companies. I think it has something to do with their business model.
I have P3D v4 and v5. There's a lot of aircraft, scenery and tools available for these plaforms. I hope that the P3D catalogue from Orbx will stay available. Only have 25 to 30% of it. I keep buying it.
And it also is very handy when you get some experience with things like ADE and MC. You can always adjust airports to the actual situaton (closed runways, new RWY numbers due to magnetic variation and so on)

The problem with the SODE prompting seems to be fixes. When I start Orbx central there's no prompting anymore for SODE update. I run the latest version 1.8

Just bought a scenery for P3D. The download speed is about 25 KB/s. With this speed it will take the whole evening or longer to download. The scenery itself is 550 MB.
The bottleneck is not with me (100 MB fibre) and also not at my provider. Downloading from simmarket etc is faster. So what's going on here?

The price on the website is without any local taxes (VAT). Those taxes differ from country to country. So after logging in your taxes for your country are calculated and added to the price on the website. It's a normal procedure, no misleading.

Take a look at AIG traffic. www.alpha-india.net
I've been using it for several years without any problem. It has a learning curve but if you follow the instructions carefully nothing can go wrong. There are 2 apps to download and install: AIG manager and AIG Traffic Controller.

I tried to replicate the scene, but didn't find the objects you're talking about.
Some notes:- I activated Orbx global (no Californian region or TE Calfornia). I can't select gate 159; it's not in the dropdown list when choosing airport KLAX.
- I went to LAT N33 56.37. I can't read LON from your uploaded picture. I see several planes (AIG was activated) and jetways.
- In your picture I see three jetways at the bottom in a strange setting. I think only one should there be in place.
I think there's some kind of conflict. Are you 100% sure there is no other scenery for KLAX installed (perhaps freeware). Other scenery? Check your scenery library.Rein

Hi Peter,
I started P3Dv5.4 and loaded Orbx Split and also Orbx Global and LC Europe. No problems with it. Just looks good. Perhaps first try a verify files and then sync again from Orbx central. You give very little information. What other scenery do you use?

I hope Orbx will soon come with an official statement about installers for P3Dv6. I don't want to poke around in the registry or so to make my scenery work in p3dv6.

Is this really EFHK? Not so clear for me which airport you show in the screenshot. If it really is EFHK, then is it default version or the version made by MK Studios? Or something. First thing I always do when there is a problem is syncing (Orbx Central / Help).

A few weeks ago there also was an extensive update for NA Pacific Fjords. The changelog was quite extensive. Made by Chris Clack. Thank you very much Chris for this work you do.
I also have MSFS on a SSD but most of the time I fly with P3Dv5.3. I have to upgrade to 5.4 but wait a few weeks. By the end of this month I will upgrade my PC with a new CPU, MB, Memory en SSD's. The CPU will be a Ryzen 7 7800X3D. That's for sure. After that I will install 5.4. And I think to delete MSFS to save some space.
Also still buy scenery for P3D. Last week I bought EGPD from UK2000. Very happy with it. I compared it with images from Google Earth and the UK2000 version is very good. Also good FPS and night lighting. It was the first airport I bought from UK2000.
And I really hope someday we will have LC Asia from Orbx!!!

Hi,
ObjectFlow is needed for most Orbx scenery (animated people and other things). SODE is needed for a number of animated objects like windsocks, jetways and so on. Just install these two. Both are small files. I am not sure if there is a particular order to install software; I don't think so. The order you mention starting with global and so on, is just fine.
Regarding the last question someone of the Orbx staff should answer that. As far as I know it's not possible to add them to Central if you bought the addons elsewhere.

Hi,
I just bought TE GB North. When I try to install I get the error Not enough diskspace. That's weird. I choose to install it into my Main Library, which is at my D drive. It's an SSD with almost 900 GB free disk space. I can't remember if you have to set a quotum when creating a library. Perhaps the quotum was too low.
P3D is installed on my C drive. Free space here is 5 GB.
What can be the reason of my problem? any help is appreciated.

Lately, attention has mainly been focused on MSFS 2020. But fortunately, in the meantime, development is still underway for P3D. Or scenery will be made compatible with P3Dv5. On orbxdirect I saw that EDBJ is now compatible with P3Dv5. This is only recently (a few weeks, perhaps 2 months). Orbx thanks for this. I think ENHF is the last European airport that is not yet compatible and of course Cityscene Barcelona is not yet. I hope one day they also become compatible.

What about YMML for P3D v6

I remember an announcement at the end of March this year about a release of YMML specifically for P3Dv6. When the announcement is made it normally takes a few weeks before release. Still not available. And I can't find the announcement anymore. Is the release withdrawn. Can someone shed some light on this? Thank you.
