  1. Presto!! Thank you so much! I have been educated today -- I have always assumed that changing any part of the name of a file would place it outside of the system's 'lookup' abilities. I guess I know better now. I sincerely appreciate the help. BTW, should EGML offer other spawning options than those listed above? ("Active Runway, "E", "W", & "Tower Controller"?) And if "active runway" is selected, should I assume an 'issue' if it populates over on the grass with other planes (well removed from the runway)? (FWIW, my prior issue with it was that my aircraft would spawn well beneath the surface of the add-on airport package's parking area, with two levels of objects visible, depending on whether I would slew the aircraft above or below that 'surface'. I hope it will stay gone now....)
  2. On your suggestion, I'll delete it, and check again... Back with you shortly....
  3. Where can that Insertion Point Tool be found? It sounds very useful...
  4. Yes -- FTX England (and libraries) installed. The BGL file was renamed (I assume that should be sufficient -- I wanted to be able to restore it in case I misstepped). I am unaware of the 'insertion point tool' you mentioned, but the attached screenshot of the Scenery Library should answer whether the items appear in the correct order. Thanks again...
  5. Well now, except for EGML not showing any 'spawning options' other than "Active Runway", "E", "W", and "Tower Controller", and choosing "Active Runway" spawning the aircraft out in the grass near other parked aircraft, it's not still manifesting the aforementioned problems. I'll report back if that changes... But the issues with EGHA remain...
  6. Thank you Nick, I tried your suggestion (link) -- and ran the Vector Airport Elevation Corrections utility, and rebooted the system. I'm afraid it hasn't improved my situation. I am also noting similar problems with EGML (I'm reinstalling P3D V4 and all my add-ons -- with no observable problems until these two airports). I have also run the AEC at least a couple of times with no improvement in that airport, either. I'll post screenshots of EGML in a few moments... (FWIW, I don't recall having issues with EGML previously.)
  7. I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this or not -- but it seems the most obvious place to me... (Admin, if it needs to be moved, please feel free to do so...) Today marks at least my fourth installation of EGHA Compton Abbas Airfield, and every time, the area feature in the attached photos has been problematic. It appears that the asphalt hasn't been hardened, and my plane (and other features) sink beneath the visible surface to a lower surface. Early on, I imagined this circumstance would be addressed in a forthcoming patch. But since it's been many months (years?) now since this airport's release and it's still a problem, I'm wondering if there is some explanation.
  8. Neil, let me know if you'd prefer that I quit cluttering up the thread with these. But if you want 'em, I'll keep posting those I find... I'm planning to to visit (at least a low-level pass) each strip throughout the newly OLCed Caribbean before I finish this trip, so I'm sure there'll be more....
  9. One more... Diamond Roads (MYX9), still in the Bahamas. (Just ahead of the A-pillar)
  10. Woo-hoo!!! Just arrived at Staniel Cay (MYES) and found civilization, at last! Perhaps I'll see more of this as I progress south...(?) (BTW, kudos to whomever for the delightfully Caribbean pastel-colored houses! Nice touch!) FWIW, Leaf Cay (MYXD) is another 'carrier landing'... Perhaps that can be added to your list. (See attached) I hope these updates are helpful, and not just nagging/complaining. Thanks again for all your hard work!
  11. I'm still exploring my way around the Caribbean. Flying around Eleuthera today, there were numerous "blocky", hotel-ish looking buildings floating around in the waters all around the island. Governor's Harbour airport had an active highway cutting right through the hangar area... While I am, on the whole, very happy with the improvements brought by OLC NA, at least during my Caribbean explorations so far, I'm very disappointed to see how very barren most of these islands are of any kind of housing developments and towns. Looking at Google Earth, there are lots of reasonably built-up areas on nearly all of the islands I've visited to date. Yet there have been 'communities' almost nowhere in OLC's Bahamas so far, except around Nassau. Especially since "The Caribbean" was touted as one of the regions specifically included in the OLC NA package, I am more than a little disappointed in how very little attention the Caribbean seems to have received. At least in the areas I've reached so far... (I've begun at the northern-most end of the Bahamas, and will be working my way down, probably until I've seen everything all the way around the island-chain through Grenada...) Thank you Neil for your tireless efforts to correct many of these oversights!
  12. Thanks Neil! As I continue exploring my way around the Caribbean, I hope you won't mind if I keep adding any more 'misfits' I find along the way...
  13. Castaway Cay (MYXB) -- a Caribbean homage to Bear Gulch Aviation strip??
  14. A couple more this morning... Scottish Cay (MYXI) and Mores Island (MYAO)... Scottish Cay is essentially a carrier landing, while Mores Island has what appears to be airport buildings out in the bay, and a tree blocking short-final...
  15. Thank you for taking this on, Neil! I'm late to the game here, but since OpenLC NA was released with the Caribbean included, I've been eager to do some island hopping in anticipation of my wife's and my upcoming cruise (25th anniversary) around the rim of the Caribbean... I've been surprised to find so many of the first islands I'm encountering to have their airports sort of 'afloat at sea' along side the islands they serve. (MYGW, MYAW, MYXZ) At least some of the ones I've encountered today have been addressed above. Thanks! That's so good to know! One more thing I was just struck by as I landed at Spanish Cay (MYAX): in addition to its being one of those 'floating airports', the flora seen from the airport looks worthy of one of the San Juan islands, with all these tall evergreens.... <grin> I'm a bit surprised that the Caribbean islands aren't sporting trees more suited to their tropical environment... Do you happen to know if that is a planned adjustment in the near future??
