  1. To follow up on this one, we have found the culprit of the issue. LGMT can now be installed directly into an external library. It seems that Orbx Direct did not like the quotation marks placed around "Odysseas Elytis" as the developer had intended, and for some reason that impacted the ability to download the scenery outside of the community folder ...

I've removed and tested it now and seems to work fine. Please also try again.

  2. Hi All,

This product has the option ticked to install into an external library in Orbx Direct. I have been advised that checking this box in OD just allows the option to install to a library if that exists in the product install script. Although it varies greatly from product to product, as some have custom install scripts. Regrettably, we are currently unsure about how to proceed with this particular case, so we'll need to delve into further troubleshooting.

I've followed this one up and I'll update once I have more info.

  3. Hi There,

We always appreciate customer suggestions. Developers are working on a variety of products, so it is possible that some of these proposals will not be confirmed to be made just yet, at least for the time being. Similarly, you can post your suggestions to the POI's section on forum here: https://forum.orbxdirect.com/forum/275-community-airport-poi-requests-and-photo-submissions/

To note: YMML aka Tullamarine / Melbourne main airport however is currently in development. There are plans in place to hopefully preview screenshots in the coming months. Keep an eye out on our "Release Announcements" section of the forum and social media platforms to stay up to date when this drops!

Thank you for your ongoing support!

Any update on the mesh conflict situation @Holger Sandmann?

    Hi There,

To add on to Holger's previous post, we have temporarily removed the NZ Mesh from sale on OrbxDirect and the Microsoft Marketplace. Customers who already have purchased the scenery will still be able to access the product to install/reinstall, however, it is recommended that users disable the NZ mesh for the time being if it is causing conflicts with WU12.

We will still welcome feedback from existing users on their NZ Mesh experience with the update. As it's a sizeable area to assess for pros and cons, this will be valuable to us and help us determine future plans for NZ Mesh.

  5. Hi There,

I would also recommend, if you have not already, installing the Orbx X-Plane12 Libraries. You can find these here: Orbx Libraries - X-Plane 12 - Orbx (orbxdirect.com)

Similarly, if this does not solve the issue, please look at making sure the Scenery Animation Manager [SAM] has been installed in Orbx Central, you can see this in the "My Products" tab. This should be automatically installed, however If you do not see this, it can be downloaded and installed from Aerosoft, you can find this here: SAM3 now available - New Releases and Updates (X-Plane 11/12) - AEROSOFT COMMUNITY SERVICES.

OK - some examples - and if someone wishes - I will elaborate more on a substitute for flugging on your powerful

computers - it is simply pushing around a photograph because the paint is always wet and your mouse is a brush with

the simple software - similar to the paint one in windows

impressionism is the best way to describe the colourful result - try it on famous scenes in Venice or Paris

Great artworks John, very talented indeed!

They remind me very much of Oil paintings. Digital art really is great to work with, Personally I often use Procreate.

  7. Hi Anton,

Sorry to hear that this has occurred, although I am glad you got it working. In these cases, Antivirus often "quarantines" the exe for some unknown reason. I believe "IDP.Generic" is also a general false positive. If it happens again, please check/add in Orbx Central to the whitelist (exclusions) in your Avast settings. This will ensure Avast does not interfere with the Central exe in future, or any other programs you wish to exclude. Please note, choosing to trust certain programs will ensure that Avast does not run checks on these programs, so I would recommend not adding too many to the whitelist. You can do this by following these steps:

    1. Click Menu > “Settings” and then go to the “General” tab.
      Open Avast Settings
    2. Now Click “Exclusions”. To Whitelist a Program, Select “File Paths” tab.
How to Whitelist a program in avast
    3. Add Path to program.

You can also report the false positive directly to Avast for their records. See how here: What to do if a file is infected? (No questions in this topic please) (avast.com)

Thank you Angelo and no. At KSEA it was the Asobo scenery, I have no addon installed there.

Meanwhile I had another crash while flying the CJ4, this time near Kansas City. Hence my suspicion is that something

is not ok after the recent CJ4 update. I didn't have a crash with any other aircraft in MSFS.

Perhaps they will do another update, we will see.

    Hello,

My apologies, I had assumed you were having an issue with the Orbx KSEA.

Have you also updated your NVIDIA Game Ready Driver? I can see you are running a GTX 1060, The 531.18 driver was released a few days ago:

Today I opened Orbx Central. I was informed that it was updating to v. 4.1.62, and things seemed to go OK.

I then went to Settings (Cog wheel) and selected Insertion Point. I got the message "One moment, we're loading your scenery library", and after a moment "Orbx Central Woirker failed to launch". I never saw this message before with earlier versions on Central.

This is a Windows 10 22H2 system, fully updated as far as I can make it, including the C++ libraries and .NET Framework. Visual Studio is installed. A check of Windows update shows no updates available.

    Please advise.

    Jorgen

    Hi Jorgen,

Would you be able to attach a copy of the log file that covers this event please?

You can find this in In Orbx Central by navigating to the Gear icon in the top right > under the Settings tab you should see a Help section > Click Help and navigate to Open Log. Here you will see a button to access the Central log file which you can save to your desktop.

  10. These are some great pics!

Also, just in case anyone here missed it, here is a recent update regarding the NZ Mesh in conjunction with WU12:

For existing users please feel free to comment on your experiences using NZ Mesh, including if running the two together. This will be valuable to us and help determine future plans for NZ Mesh.

  11. Hi There,

They have not used the “C-7” U.S. Military name for this aircraft. It is titled under the “DHC-4 Caribou” name and is available to buy direct from the MSFS Marketplace. It should appear as the first aircraft to the left when entering the “Aircraft” section of the MSFS store. Are you unable to see the aircraft there?

I found the same as above and the water up the walls of the canyon in Milford sound. I've uninstalled NZ mesh now and it all seems OK. Would be interested to know if this product is going to be modified or abandoned.

    Hi Brian,

You can see further info regarding the NZ Mesh here :)

  13. Hi Andreas,

Sounds like you got it under control. Please note on the KSEA product page however (Central) it displays: Before installing this scenery, please delete KSEA - Seattle–Tacoma International Airport by ASOBO STUDIO addon from the content manager to avoid conflicts!

Ensure you have done thisif you have already have hopefully this was a 'once-off' but just in case, I do know there had also been previous reports of certain add-ons conflicting with some scenery. In case it happens again, have a look here: CTD when try to fly from KSEA - Bug Reports & Wishlist / Install, Performance & Graphics - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

Moreover, if you have further issues and it ends up being a frequent occurrence, feel free to lodge a ticket request and we can assist. KSEA is also produced by BMWorld and AmSim. For BMWorld and AmSim product support, you can also go to https://www.amsim.am/

    Hope this helps.

  14. Hi There,

In the instance of slow downloads, generally network problems outside the control of Orbx are to blame. There are no current issues with our download servers, similarly I have also personally tried to download scenery via Central, with no issues.

I can only offer the following suggestion: simply stopping the download in Central, restarting Central and the download should resume at optimal speed. Please note this may or may not work depending on where the download is being affected. If the download is stopping at a certain point and not progressing any further, that may be another issue entirely. If that is the case, please open a support ticket and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you Angelo, so what is the Orbx Discord Server? Tell me more please. And you didn't post a link....

    Thanks a lot Wayne!

    Hi Wayne,

Discord [Discord | Your Place to Talk and Hang Out] (if you do not know already) is an app where servers are organized into topic-based channels where you can collaborate, share, and talk. We have created a few channels for showing off your great screenshots, as well as joining in on some group flights. There are some Discord-exclusive events and competitions planned to, and you can also see updates on announcements, Orbx releases and Partner releases as they come through.

I edited the post prior to include the link, but you can find it again here:
