  1. The Lancair IV-P is a 4-seater. The plane in the video is a 2-seater. I did some more research and it looks as though the plane in the video is a Lancair Legacy or Lancair Barracuda which Lancair introduced in 2019. Would love to know where Orbx got their Barracuda.
  2. Does anyone know what's the make/model of the single-engine aircraft that's seen in the opening scene of the Global openLC Europe promo video? Is it available for FSX-SE & where do I get one? Here's the link to the video: https://orbxdirect.com/product/global-openlc-europe
  3. Grand Lake St. Marys near Celina, OH is missing. It was there with the default FSX scenery before I installed the following products: Global Base Pack Global Vector Global openLC North America How do I get that lake to appear? It's the largest inland lake in Ohio so I should be able to see it.
  4. Nick, Thanks for your help. All Orbx products are installed and working well. Bluegrass Airport looks good after running the Vector Airport Elevation Correction. I'll be trying out the various recommended tweaks to the fsx.cfg file to fine tune my setup. Does Orbx add and/or revise any of the settings in fsx.cfg?
  5. Should I uninstall/reinstall my Orbx products or does the fact the errors aren't showing up during subsequent FSX startups mean the problem has been fixed?
  6. Two issues... First Issue: After I installed all of my Orbx products and started up FSX SE, I got this error message: SCENERY.DAT file error. Close Flight Simulator, and delete 'scenery\base\scenery\worldlc'. Click OK to continue. I clicked OK and another similar message with a different file listed popped up. After this occurred about twenty times, I used the Task Manager to force FSX to shut down because it seemed the errors would never end. Next time I opened FSX, I received no error messages. Apparently pressing OK did not actually delete the files because worldlc.bgl is still in its folder. What were all those error message about? Second issue: A couple of years ago a bought an addon airport, Bluegrass Airport. After installing my Orbx products, it looks like the runways are in canyons (see attachment). How do I fix that? I tried moving that airport up to the top of my scenery list (priority 1) but that didn't help. Here are my products: Global Base Pack Global Buildings HD Global Vector openLC North America Global Airport Pack
  7. If I keep the Orbx folder in the FSX root folder, is there any need to have a library if I’m using FSX SE? If so, how would I use a library with FSX SE?
  8. Thanks for your patience. I’m a long time simmer but new to Orbx. Does scenery load faster if the system drive and separate scenery storage drive are both HDD drives? The reason I’m asking is that when I fly with the new Orbx products, buildings are populating near the aircraft. I don’t recall having that problem with the default FSX scenery. I’m using the FSX scenery settings that are recommended in the Global Base Pack user guide. My system: i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz with 32 GB installed RAM Radeon RX 580 graphics card with 8 GB RAM Also… if I keep the Orbx folder in the FSX root folder, is there any need to have a library if I’m using FSX SE? If so, how would I use a library with FSX SE? And… I see all of the backup files in my designated backup folder. If I uninstall a product, does it delete that product’s files from the FSX\Orbx folder? And then if I want to reinstall the product, instead of downloading the product files from the Orbx server again, it installs the product from the backup files on my computer, correct?
  9. I obtained the following products: Global Base Pack Global Buildings HD Global Vector openLC North America Global Airport Pack Orbx Libraries I wanted to install these products outside my sim directory so I created a directory with the path D:\Orbx\Libraries. It’s on a separate hard drive from my system Drive C where my main FSX SE files live. Then in Orbx Central I went to Settings\Libraries and created a library called “My Library” and set the location as D:\Orbx\Libraries. On the Library Settings page it says “When installing a product, you will be prompted to select which library you want to install to” but when I installed my products, I didn’t see a prompt to choose a library. The D:\Orbx\Libraries directory is empty but a directory named “Orbx” was created within my FSX SE root directory on Drive C. Within that Orbx directory are the following directories: Config FTX_AU FTX_GLOBAL FTX_OLC FTX_VECTOR Scripts User Documents Weren’t those files supposed to be installed into “My Library” at D:\Orbx\Libraries?
  10. NIck, I was able to install both the Global Base & Global Buildings packs with no problems. I thought I read somewhere that during the installation process, I would have the option of backing up all the default FSX SE scenery but I did not see that option. Did Orbx Central automatically back those up for me? Also... does Orbx have any up to date New York City scenery? -Greg
  11. Thanks, Nick. I see that Orbx has a Global Buildings pack. If I get the Global Base pack would I really need the Buildings pack or does the Buildings pack enhance the Global Base pack even further?
  12. I'm using FSX SE and have purchased a very nice 3rd party version of my local airport here in Lexington, KY. Will I still be able to see & use that 3rd party airport if I purchase and install the Orbx Global Base Pack?
