I don't fly any more but would suggest that a short flight from Bristol to Pensance would take you over some of the most gorgeous countryside you could see anywhere.

No wonder you always look tired out Iain! 4am is ridiculous. For jobs I worked as a shipping and forwarding agent and earned a duodenal ulcer and the I took a job as Premises Manager for Wella, the world famous supplier of ladies and mens hairdressing products.
Oh, and hooray, I've at last been able to get on to this forum again!

When I was flying I had Photographic scenery covering most of the world. At least I knew that what I was seeing looked like that at the time of the photography, It also did a lot to improve my geography knowledge.

We've had dogs and they are wonderful companions and fun but be ready for heatbreak too. They steal your affection and then go and die on you!

I'm 90, yes ninety and glad to say still got my marbles even if my wife doesn't think so!

I use it to keep in touch via email and to order stuff, mainly books for my Paperwhite from Amazon, and to check on what's happening on Mars!

Sheila and I both love dogs and had one for years and I had one for most of the time I was growing up. But let's face it. They have a great failing. They get you to love them and then bloody die on you. They're bloody heart breakers!

I must have missed what you had Wain. Mind you I'm only allowed out on Tuesdays for my weekly visit to the golf club for coffee. Then I'm taken back home again and helped into the lift to the second floor until the following week. At 90 it's a hard life trying to find more Amazon books to read on my Kindle!
Talking about the golf club, the manager called me into his office a few weeks ago and said; 'You only come here on Tuesdays for a couple of hours so to save you having to pay your subs I'm chucking your membership away and you can come as a visitor from now on'.
So, I now go there for free, my coffee is bought for me, I visit the Pro' shop and insult the Pro's, go back and have another coffee and insult the members in there. Then I watch them teeing off the first accompanied by more insults and guidance on what they should have done. Then my wife takes me home happy. I enjoy Tuesdays!

Well, it's raining here in sunny(?) Minehead. Everyone says we had a warm June but somehow it must have missed me. I'm never warm these days. But at 90 what can you expect?!. I'm writing this by the way, on my new...ish laptop. It's just been rebuilt and so far (err wish me luck) it's working well.
I just wish I could get The Seekers back. I'll get there in the end!

Winsford. It's a small village with thatched cottages and seven, yes seven, stone bridges. Beautiful place about half and hour by car from where I live in lovely Minehead, Somerset.

None-I don't fly anymore and have no wish to real or simulated. I just want to sit at home with my lovely wife of seventy years and read my Kindle Paperwhite.

Reading. My Mum taught me to read when I was 3 years old and I've never stopped. And now at age 90 I have the Kindle Paperwhite which goes into my pocket so I don't need to lug books around.
