ACTIVE Do I need ftx global to get maximum out of ftx terrain region (Northern California)

Basic questions ... but there is so much on the forums that it is hard to find a detailed answer. I bought and installed ftx terrain region (northern California) and wanted to know whether I need ftx global to get maximum out of it, or is ftx terrain region a completely stand alone product ( with ftx global, ftx vector info/data included for that smaller terrain region ... trees, land classes, roads, coast lines ...). Any info would be much appreciated!!!

I believe that the region packs are self sufficient, meaning that you do not need Global for it to show its max potential. In fact, I use mine with Global switched off in the scenery library when I am not flying outside the regions. Just make sure that FTX Central is turned onto North America. Now if you buy their airports then you need the specific scenery region for the airport to work.I.E. PAJN needs Southern Alaska.
