nandrews
I was getting these effects at night with Orbx Global, Vector, LC Europe, England and EGKA installed in FSX. I have now migrated to FSX SE and having just installed the same set I am seeing them again! Not very obvious in these photos, I have to admit, but the photos are darker than when seen in FSX SE. I also see some purple shading in the clouds, but even in the sim that is not so obvious. The purple effect was not seen before I installed EGKA (neither on the grass or taxiway), but then the default taxiway texture was concrete. I have selected Fine in Aero. If anyone can suggest what could be the problem I would appreciate it. Thanks Nigel
Alex Goff
FSX(:SE) has a built in color bias toward red-ish/purple hue. Colors that are pure grey will end up tinted with a purple or red color, at night it is most pronounced and most terrain gets purple spots. nandrews
Thanks Alex, As I say it's not different for me from FSX before. I had hoped that the inevitable difference in my config from FSX would see the back of it. Odd that it's not been mentioned before then. For me, because it is more obvious in the sim than the photos show, it has a slightly psychedelic effect, which is quite distracting Nigel
